Return of the colour

                                                       Diwali at DQ-20, November 2012
The colour returned
At death of the hour
The celebrations began
With sympathy and concern
The Dhak played endless rhythm
And Dhunuchi  rose up to the occasion;

All those people breathing hard
Without prejudice and without pride
Where blessings are for all
Bowed their heads
For that special moment
When past breathed its last.

Web of enchantment

                                                                        Tanzania-Year 2012
It painted its face, bright Yellow
And striped the legs with Green
Weaved an extra layer, for decoration
Thus sat, in an enchanted web
Weaved of its own;

I left the place, in wonder
For who would have passed
Until darkness fell
Looking back, several times
For that one friend, or foe;

The web indeed, thus weaved
Around all of us, so deep
In today’s world, of high commerce
I do not know, who I am
Until I update my own status.

(After seeing a colorful spider in its beautiful web around the corner of the steps from Gymkhana to the over-bridge. It is a pity that to this date I refuse to own a higher-end mobile with photo shoot features.)
