I once fancied
Like never before,
Twin girls
Above all;
I surprised some
Shocked the others,
It is a strange request,
Certainly, thought most.
It was no use
The prayers,
As the God was quick
And granted
Even before He heard,
Albeit, with a difference,
He is no exception
After all.
The story is unending
Since then,
It is always a Deja-Vu
For the boys' friends;
With one in class
And the other left to wander,
Who will not err, worse still,
The poor Professors.
The industries and the embassies
All wonder,
To work or to enter,
Who is granted and who is not;
At times how brilliant
With double the output,
And soon after,
Why no smile, and no hello.
What with one marriage
And the certificate
In other’s hand,
The fear at night
That it is too late,
To decide and find
If the correct one
Is out or in.
What a dread
When the other will marry
Two girls in front
And all shall tally;
“I am the Other One”,
Yes,
But,
"I am Married to the Other One".
(I must thank Tarun/Rumy, Udo/Ruma and the wild late night party- all which has contributed and provided the main inspiration behind this.)
