When all the clutter is gone.

                                        Rains housing at Stanford university- September 2012

An empty bungalow with Pink splendour
Bougainvillea drops the balcony in earnest,
Framed memories and childhood dreams
Nostalgia displayed alongside fresh family scenes;

The painting rolls from overhead storage
The puzzles lost into broken boxes,
The sport-meet uniforms, the untried shoes
The torn diaries, letters and telegraphic messages,

I just sold it all, my wealth of past
To the roadside picker, for a clutter free future.
