The rush is gone
The rush is gone
The station near
There is no turning back, now
The travel must bear;
The train signals
And smokes, no longer
The hope does not survive
It burns so inside;
No one pulls the chain
The ache is all left behind
For one gaze lingers, long after
That left her then, wet eyes;
I have stayed, here
As the God says
In that one moment
And the distance does not matter;
Do not look
Or turn
You are my favourite
And will remain, to be one.
There is no turning back, now
The travel must bear;
The train signals
And smokes, no longer
The hope does not survive
It burns so inside;
No one pulls the chain
The ache is all left behind
For one gaze lingers, long after
That left her then, wet eyes;
I have stayed, here
As the God says
In that one moment
And the distance does not matter;
Do not look
Or turn
You are my favourite
And will remain, to be one.
