Ganga flowed at dawn
And at dusk
Taking with it
Lives that will never be heard
Prayers by its side
Continued in spite
Bringing immortal hope
And solace to aging minds
As the sun strolled
Turning it red
Sinking all underneath
All that had survived
Of a lonely house
A dim lit corner
Where the gods had slept
On starry nights.
