Going home

Coastline near Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in Muscat, Oman, Oct 2014.
.
Yet another day
Looking into the sky
For things unused unwanted
The drum beats that played
The school prayers and the field full of faces
Family and friends who were always,

It had been different since
The complexity of roads
People eating on them
I know the family wanted her to die
Yet is it not a lost life
We could only go home from there,

Driving in rain is so peaceful
Washed soul and a cleansed view
The rhyme of wipers, the misty glasses
All of it and the world at bay
Just then a little flower could drop, only white
Gifting immortal joy.
