Lost thoughts in past
Train whistles receding far
Birds with fading chirps
Exercising mind falling in doubt
Increasing desire to meditate-
Writings of twenty years
On newspaper front page today
Progress or as luck would have
Only past is seen in coming days,
Empty brass tubs that were full
Pre-dawn family bathings to take place
Unfound pentagon bangle box
That sisters often ravaged
For few bangles blue and pointed-
Did not look the road
Where once our children played
A crowded past, how will it save
An uncertain future in itself.
