B-1439, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, as seen from outside on Feb 8th, 2015.
A bed is empty today
With stories of love and care, fearless follower
Of truth and freedom to the very end
A picture of him smiling in our minds
Few of us gather
To let him go where the heavens unite,
The fortunate, even if it be the cycle of time
The family reflects, wonderful moments
Life as siblings, memories continue to bind us
The house remains vacant
Untouched, uninhabited, names engraved, abode of ‘Shraddha’
But with a bed empty today.
(In fond memory of Pitaji, who left us on February 5th, 2015 at 2:35pm)
From Akash:
ReplyDelete'Very sorry to hear about Nana ji - I will always have a picture of him smiling in my mind. He had a very honest, genuine and innocent smile that I can never forget.'
From Bhabhi ji:
'Abha it is not just the bed that is empty. The emptiness of the house hits one in the face. A quiet man, he once moved soundlessly around the house. He had his favourite sofa on which he always sat while Ammajis voice would resonate through the house. Both of them would enjoy the warmth of the sun in their angan happy together. All that is gone now. All that remains now is the hollowness of an empty house where the once painted walls now crumble and fall apart.'
From Kanval ji:
'Very sorry to learn about Pitaji's passing away he was such a good man. I will never forget his smile.'
From Baba:
'He was a good man.'
