The Graveyard-Water color by Akash (Year 2009)
The flowers bloom, Magenta and Yellow
The hotel towers, Sparkle White
The apartments shy and cozy Pink;
The clouds descend, it is dark,
The thunder and flash, the hails drop;
The M G Road brings
The old charm back,
The majestic drive
With its hustle and bustle,
And the work continues
On the overhead Rails.
The heart swings, the past flies,
With a fresh feeling of wonder,
The sorrows are washed,
It is a new dawn,
But it is Black.
The house, the routine
The kitchen, the washing
The movies, the loud matches on TV
Until next morning;
The colors come and go
But the evening stays
When it is Black.
It is coming, the procession,
It has caught up, at last,
All that is left behind,
Wins and losses,
Loves and heartaches,
Is now dark and Grey;
An uneasy calm stays
Peace at last
And it is Black.
